Do the prices shown on your website include shipping? 

Shipping and postal insurance is extra on all items, unless the item specifies free shipping. 

How much do I have to pay for shipping?

We ship all orders via USPS-United States Postal Service. Postage is based on the weight and size of the item you select, as well as your postal zip code or country. Most people prefer to know how much shipping is up front, but our shopping cart feature only allows the shipping cost to display during the checkout process. To see shipping charges, put the item in your shopping cart and press checkout. The postal cost will display after you put in your shipping address, but you have the ability to back out if you don't wish to follow through with the purchase.

Why is shipping so much?

Unfortunately, we don't set the shipping rates--USPS does. Cost is determined by how far you are away from us and how heavy the item is you are purchasing. All shipping costs also include insurance, which can be an additional $2-$5 depending on the value of your order.  We are happy to check and see if there is a cheaper shipping method available for the item you are interested in, so prior to purchasing, contact us with your zip code and which item you'd like and we'll check it to see what the best rate is for you. 

I live near you. Can I pick up my order in person to save on the shipping charge?

Do you ship to other countries outside the US?

Our website is currently set up to accept US orders only, but we do ship to other countries. For orders shipping outside the United States, please send us a message with your country and we will quote you postal costs. 

What forms of payment do you take?

Currently our website is set for Paypal payments only, which also allows you to pay using a debit or credit card (either through your Paypal account, or as a guest if you don't have an account).  We also accept U.S. postal money orders available at any USPS office. When we get notification that you ordered something and plan to send us a money order, we will send you an e-mail to discuss the arrangements. Due to problems with mailed payments, we must hear back from you within 24 hours of ordering to discuss arrangements or the item will not be held for you. Money orders must be received within 7 days of ordering. After 7 days, the item will no longer be held for you if payment is not received, or you have not been in contact with us to let us know you sent payment.

I'm having trouble placing an order through your shopping cart.

Glitches do happen, so if you run into any problems ordering, please contact us and we can send you a Paypal invoice you can click on to pay. Just let us know what item(s) you want and your zip code or country.

How will I know if my order went through?

Once we receive notification that you ordered something, we will send you an e-mail acknowledging it. After your item is shipped, we will send you another e-mail letting you know the tracking number. If you do not receive an e-mail from us within 24 hours of placing an order, please contact us.


I bought something then changed my mind. Can I cancel the sale?

You can cancel a sale if you get in touch with us before your order is shipped. We usually ship orders out first thing in the morning, Monday-Friday, and sometimes on Saturday. If you wish to cancel an order, send us an e-mail ASAP, and we will refund your full purchase price via Paypal. Once an order is shipped, there is no way to cancel it.

Can I return something I bought from your website?

We accept returns under certain circumstances. Send us an e-mail and we’ll work with you. If we agree to the return, you will be required to pay the postage to ship the item back to us. Upon receipt of the item, we will refund your purchase price, minus postage/insurance. Postal costs are not refunded unless an error was made with your order and the fault was ours. 

Do I have to pay tax on what I buy from you?

If you live in the State of Connecticut we are required to collect sales tax from you. All other states, it is the buyer’s responsibility to pay any sales tax in accordance with his/her own state laws.


I tried to check out, but it said it doesn’t ship to my country. How can I order something on your site?

Our site is currently set up for a dozen different countries, but we ship worldwide. If your country isn't showing up when you try to place an order, please send us a message with your country and item(s) you are interested in. If we are able to ship to your country we let you know the postal cost and will send you a Paypal invoice if you still want it. Paypal is the only form of payment we accept for international orders. There are some countries such as Italy whose custom regulations do not allow us to ship vintage toys, so we do not ship to Italy and a few other countries. 

I just placed an order. When will I receive it?

Your order is usually shipped out the next business day after we receive your payment, usually Monday through Friday, and sometimes (but not always) on Saturdays. We do not ship on Sundays, holidays, snow or icy road days (yup, we get that here!), during the occasional natural disaster that might impact our getting orders shipped out, or when we are closed for vacation (which will be noted on our website). Orders shipped to a US address general take anywhere from two days to a week to arrive. If you ordered a book, they are sent media mail which averages 7-10 days. International orders are usually sent via USPS priority mail and often take about a week to reach the country of their destination. How long that package is held in your country’s customs is anyone’s guess. 

Why was my order canceled on me?

We sell at various venues and sometimes an item listed on our website as being available was already purchased by someone else before you purchased it. If this happens, your order will be canceled and a full refund will be given. We try to update our inventory system as soon as possible after items are sold, but occasionally an item will still appear on our website as available when it’s not. 

It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t gotten my order!

Contact us and we will follow up with the postal service to trace your package. 


My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Contact us ASAP. All our orders are covered by postal insurance. If it arrives damaged, we’ll need to see photos of the damage so we can file an insurance claim. 

Do you have a store I can visit?

No, sorry. We sell at toy and doll shows, flea markets, and various online sites.
